PROGRAMS

Alameda Family Collective provides a comprehensive variety of programming for members and our local community.

Education Series
Join us for our education series events. Topics vary, covering a wide array of subjects related to parenting. Our education series lectures are always open to the public and are usually free of charge!

Dinner Angels
New baby? Just had surgery? Family crisis? Enjoy serving others? Our Dinner Angels program offers an opportunity to make & deliver or receive meals from AFC members during your time of need.

Babysitting Co-Op
Join our babysitting co-op where families help one another by providing free, trustworthy childcare! Participating families also gather monthly for a potluck. There is a small fee associated with the SittingAround website used by this program.

Playdates
We offer a variety of member-hosted playgroups organized by age. Help your child to develop socially while you connect with other parents by participating in weekly playdates.

Early Childhood Development Activities
These gatherings provide opportunities for our children to engage in play-based learning. Sensory playdates focus on tactile and creative exploration. Educational playdates serve as a first steps towards structured learning and feature fun lessons organized by parents. We even have an all-ages music program twice a month!

Book Club
Take a monthly break from the little ones. Discuss books with other parents while relaxing in a community atmosphere.

Mommy & Daddy’s Night Out
Members organize a variety of kid-free, evening and weekend activities in their homes or at local venues for moms or dads to share some time together in community, away from the kiddos. These social events provide an opportunity for parents to get some much needed R&R, connect with friends, and explore the activities that Alameda has to offer!

Special & Holiday Events
The whole AFC community gathers throughout the year to celebrate holidays with fun, games & food for the whole family. We have several special events that occur on an annual basis. Monthly, new & current members mingle at a special “getting to know you” gathering. These events provide a great sense of community!

Lending Library
Members can borrow from our collection of parenting books on topics from pregnancy thru the toddler years.  Get the knowledge you need at no cost with this amazing community resource.

We are constantly adding to and improving our program lineup. New and current members are encouraged to organize events, volunteer as a host, and explore new community outreach opportunities!

The driving force behind AFC is its members and we love to see how each family
improves and enriches this organization through their involvement!

- OUR MISSION -
