Our organization is more than just a club - it's a community of families focused on building lifelong friendships through social, educational and philanthropic engagement. We're a source of fun and support for your whole family and our surrounding community. 

We are a member-run, 501(c)3 non-profit group for Alameda families with young children. We were established in 2007 and are currently more than 400 families strong!

AFC offers a variety of activities & resources including a free educational lecture series that is open to the public, our babysitting co-op, various playdates, parent outings, seasonal family events, meal trains for families with new children, and more! Members can access our calendar of events, RSVP, and find additional resources via our Members Only webpages. We also offer a private Facebook group for our members to discuss parenting issues, current events, and local concerns. By partnering with local businesses and other non-profits, we help to foster a sense of larger belonging throughout the entire Alameda island community.
